Turbonetics Deltagate Wastegate: bad?

Saw in one of the discussions that the Turbonetics Deltagate Wastegate is nothing but crap.. I'm running one of those right now... Just curious why you guys think its crap? what are the symptoms? and what/why are the HKS ones better?

Is the turbonetics wastegate not giving you any trouble? Mine used to boost creep terribly when I first got it. Now it must have "broken-in" because it barely gives me any boost! the thing is very tempermental on my car. If your hasn't given you any trouble then you must have gotten on of the good ones.

i would not trust it, although some fast hondas like Jeff Tirado and a few DSMs use them, it is questionable.

I plan to go switch to a HKS wastegate due to it's proven performance, reliability since alot of the quick 8s use them and many good opinions from a few folks.

Huh, interesting.. no i haven't seen any problems, yet, I'll have to wait and see... what was it creeping to/from? what spring did you have in there? did you have a Boost controller? manual/electronic?

How much is an HKS setup?

I have the turbonetics wastegate and i have also heard that they arent very good.. however, i have friends running the same wastegate and not experiencing any problems.. i have it in a 98 prelude and its set at 7 psi.. but when vtec kicks in it creeps to 9.. 9psi is still safe on my engine because i have a thicker head gasket so as for now its working perfect!.. the TIAL wastegate is SO nice looking.. and i am thinking of getting that instead.. dirt might have gotten into the wastegate and is making it stick.. ive heard taht is pretty common too..

I'm also gonna have to look into the HKS wastegate. Who all have boost controllers and boostcreep and who don't have boost controllers and have boost creep?
